Yes. This is technically not a Florida restaurant but it is just across the border and is well worth the trip. Great little airport to fly into (09J), located on a peninsula jutting out into the marsh, and they have the RedBug electric cars that you can rent to cruise the island. The club is just about a quarter mile south of the airport and if you can make it there on Sunday for the brunch you will not regret the trip. Dress appropriately because it is a lunch buffet in the Grand Dining Hall of the classic old resort and the food fits the setting. If your like me and my aviator canine, we are always looking for fun places to fly.... My favorite destination has to be my home airport of St. Augustine, Florida. Whenever I come home to St. Augustine, I realize how lucky I am to live here and be based at this beautiful airport. It's on the water, the views are magnificent, and we have new hangars and a great little restaurant, the Fly By Cafe. Most important to me is the aerobatic box that operates east of 13-31. We now have a control tower and while the local akro pilots were worried that it might cramp our style, they have been more than helpful and it's actually better than before. They keep the aerobatic box sterile for us when we are flying and have created a safer situation. I encourage aerobatic pilots to follow our lead and apply for aerobatic boxes at airports with control towers.

Airport Restaurant & Gin Mil, Deland - KDED
Tony's Airside Restaurant, Lakeland - KLAL HAS CLOSED. I talked today 2-12-08 with the airport's administation and they confirmed the news. They also said it didn't look like any other restaurant would be in place for April's Sun-N-Fun event.
