Flight Line Grill, Bartow Municipal Airport, Bartow - KBOW

We finally had an opportunity to try our home base's restaurant this past weekend. We stopped in on Sunday to check out the brunch ($ 10.99 per person) at the Bartow's FLIGHT LINE Grill.

After a quick glance of the buffet line we both decided to order off the menu. I selected their Country Fried Steak with gravy, green beans, roll, and French fries. My wife picked the Chef's salad with grilled chicken.

The food arrived in short time considering the place was packed with well over a 100 patrons. Our waitress said that business has been brisk the past few weekends.

My chicken fried steak was good, but the portion a bit small. The salad was lacking something my wife later said was cheese. "A salad MUST have cheese". The salad was quite large and more than a meal.

Service was good and the restaurant was incredibly clean. We had first asked to sit outside where there's plentiful seating and a great view of the flightline, but the lovebugs quickly drove us back inside.

The FLIGHT LINE Grill is run by the owners of the former "Kathy's Too" which was located on the airport grounds. The restaurant is now in a new FBO building.

Reminiscent of several fly-to destinations, such as Landing Strip Cafe - KOBE, and Tony's Airside - KLAL, it's definitely one to put on your fly-to lists.

If you're staying the night, the FLIGHT LINE Grill offers a full bar and Friday & Saturday evening dinners of steaks, pastas and seafood.
